The webhook system is designed to notify you about critical account and domain-related events that require immediate attention.

🔔 What Are Webhooks?

Webhooks are automatic notifications sent from 1Reg to your system when important events occur.

They allow you to react instantly without the need to continuously poll the API.

The initial version of webhooks will focus on alerts and risk notifications, including:

🚫 Domain suspension or blocking events

🚨 Domain listing in spam or abuse databases

⚠️ Low account balance notifications

⏳ Upcoming domain expiration reminders

These events are designed to help you prevent service disruption and respond quickly to critical issues.

Prepare Endpoint

Set up a secure HTTPS endpoint on your server to receive webhook notifications.

Webhook URLs will be configured via the 1Reg API or control panel.

Receive Notifications

When a monitored event occurs, 1Reg will send a notification to your endpoint.

Acknowledge Delivery

Your system should respond with a successful HTTP status to confirm receipt.

We plan to implement the following mechanisms:

Request signature verification

HTTPS-only delivery

Automatic retry on delivery failure

Event deduplication to prevent duplicates
